What’s on the anvil
studio·ABAT is the gallery wall: the finished pieces, framed and lit. This is the floor they were made on. Everything below is either being struck right now or waiting its turn as cold stock.
How to read this page
A smith judges steel by its colour. Dull red is about 550 °C, forging heat is 800, welding heat is 1300. The studio·ABAT palette happens to sit on that scale, with brand red on forging heat and brand gold on welding heat, so here it does the measuring. The hotter a project runs, the more of me it currently has. Past 1300 the colour runs out of the brand and goes white, which is where steel stops being worked and starts being burnt.

Stock on the rack. Real material, chosen and stacked, just not in the fire yet. Each one names the thing it is actually waiting on.
